Coterie diapers are made with a sodium polyacrylate and TCF wood pulp core, a polypropylene/polyester/polyethylene backsheet, a polypropylene topsheet, a polyester high loft nonwoven acquisition layer, and a polypropylene/polyethylene fastening system, along with adhesives, elastics, and a wetness indicator. Coterie wipes, on the other hand, are made with 100% plant-based, plastic-free fibers, including VEOCEL Lyocell, and a solution of purified water, Tocopherol acetate, Decyl glucoside, Glycerin, Sodium benzoate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Citric acid, Silicone quaternium-17, and Laureth-9.

All Coterie products undergo rigorous third-party testing for potentially harmful chemicals, and the materials that may come in contact with the skin are dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic. Performance claims are based on comparison with other commercially available products.

Coterie's plant-based materials are sustainably sourced. The diapers are made with Totally Chlorine Free wood pulp from PEFC certified, sustainably managed forests, while the wipes are made with FSC Certified plant-based fibers that decompose within 12 weeks, as confirmed by TUV Austria in 2022.

Coterie diapers are designed to minimize leaks, blowouts, and the likelihood of diaper rash, with up to 70% more liquid capacity, up to 4x faster absorbency, and up to 3x drier skin compared to leading brands, as demonstrated in lab testing. The diapers are made with 25% plant-based, ultra-soft, apparel-grade materials.

Coterie wipes are made with 99% water and 100% plant-based fibers, and are up to 30% larger than leading brands, as determined in lab testing. They are ultra-soft and gentle on sensitive skin.
